Mahakali Caves

Mahakali Caves also known as Kondivite Caves is a combination of 19 basalt rock-cut monuments from the Buddhist era. This cave is located in the east suburb of Andheri and can be accessed via Kamal Amrohi Studio.

There is no entrée fee charged but it is quite clean and well maintained. The opening and closing times are 9 am and 6 pm respectively. This black basalt rock cave traces its origin to Ashokan Era and it is believed that Buddhist monks used to reside in the cave.
